Many of the agents I met didn't know we existed...

“The Realtor Palooza was a great event for my community. We think with all the advertising, signs and other marketing we do, that everyone would know who we are and what we offer. That is not the case with resale agents. They are unaware of the new home builders and the homes we have available. Many agents just don’t have time to track down all the new home communities, especially if they are outside their normal marketing area. This event allowed the agents a “one stop shop” to acquaint themselves with the new homes available in and outside their market place. That was the case with my community. Many of the agents I met at the Palooza didn’t know we existed. They were excited about the community and as a result I had 2 sales that month from agents I met. I have also kept in touch with all the agents from the event and have had additional sales from those relationships. The Palooza Event is a must for every builder and agent that wants to maximize their exposure and their income. We all win.”

“It was so wonderful to see over 350 realtors at our first Realtor Palooza last year in Chino. Even though my new home community is in Murrieta, an agent I met at the Realtor Palooza remembered I had a large single story. A month after the event the agent brought in the clients and together we sold and closed a home in 30 days!”

“We hosted the Realtor Palooza last year at Canyon Hills, our master planed neighborhood in Lake Elsinore. It was a shot in the arm for our sales rate, many of our sales that month and the following months were a result of the connections our agents made with top agents in the area during that one day event. My agents are looking forward to the event this year.”

“Our team went to both Realtor Palooza events last year. It was great to see so many new homes all in one place. CPRE is a builder as well as a traditional real estate company, listing and selling homes like many other agents in the area. Because we are a builder we follow the new home market very closely and this event is one of the absolute best. Since many of the homes at the event may not be listed on the MLS Realtor Palooza is a great place to bring our serious clients and help them find a home. This year Capital Pacific is excited to be a part of Realtor Palooza.”

Having been an executive in the building industry for over 23 years and now being the Team leader and CEO for Keller Williams OC Coastal Realty, I have developed a solid opinion on Broker cooperation.

It is true when it's done correctly. Both builder and realtor benefit from working together. Here's why, its simple! There isn't "new homes" and "used homes" or "resale homes" there is just "real estate". We are all agents out there surviving what is at least for now, a tough market. It's going to take all of us working together. “Together we achieve more”

Builders, in my opinion save your advertising money. The papers don’t work! It’s a waste of $$$$. The best source of traffic is from REALTORS. The NAR statisitc is that 68% of all home transactions involved a REALTOR! Builders in almost every state except for Arizona and California understand this. A person looking to buy these days really understands that short sales, REOs Resales, etc. are available and those are a part of their decision. They will contact a REALTOR. Now, if the builders have a great, friendly, proactive program with all the REALTORS, not just the one that is handling the contingencies, then they will get so many more showings that are quality showings- showings that will lead to a sale that will close.
